Papa Roach Rocks the House of Blues in AC
MercyMe rocked the asses of the crowd in attendance from the pre-recorded opening notes of Getting Away with Murder to the final power chords of Angels and Insects at the House of Blues in Atlantic City. Throughout the set, Jacoby maintained a high level of intensity with Jerry, Tobin, and Tony, keeping the pace hard and fast. The boys blasted through one song after another with high energy and ear-splitting intensity, barely giving the crowd time to cheer the end of one song before jumping into the next.
The show featured fifteen songs in sixty-three minutes, with no new songs from the upcoming release. Despite the lack of new material, the selection from their extensive catalog kept everyone happy. When the last notes of Angels finished, Jacoby bid the crowd goodnight, leaving them wanting more. Although there was no encore, the crowd was satisfied with the 15 monster renditions of PR classics.
Overall, it was an awesome show at a great venue. I eagerly anticipate the new album in October and look forward to catching them again. Thanks for a great show, guys! Your energy in a live performance is unbeatable.
